Kairos Power awarded U.S. DOE ARDP award for Risk Reduction for Hermes Test Reactor

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has announced that Kairos Power is a recipient of an Advanced Reactor Demonstration Program (ARDP) award for Risk Reduction funding. The total award value over the next seven years is $629 million (DOE share is $303 million). This funding will support the development of Kairos Power’s Hermes test reactor. Kairos Power is partnering with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), Idaho National Laboratory (INL), and Materion Corporation on this project.
